Chicken price goes up by Rs20/kg

KARACHI: The price of chicken has been recorded to rise by record Rs20/kg across Sindh over the past ten days.Talking to Geo News, Poultry Association Sindh President Hussain Patel said the retail price of chicken went up to Rs122/kg after Eidul Fitr; however, the price surged to Rs142/kg with an addition of Rs20.The hike in chicken price is being witnessed owing to the commencement of winter and weddings season.The price of eggs also rose to Rs69 per dozen, adding the raise in eggs price is due to the decrease in the number of poultry farms.
