LAHORE:
The Brigadier Pakistan Rangers Shafqat Rana said India-Pakistan have reached upon agreement for stoppage of smuggling on border and will hold more High-Level meetings to protest with India the incidents of rocket firing from other side of border, Geo news said.
This Brigadier Shafqat said talking to media following the conclusion of quarterly meeting held between Pakistan Rangers (PR) and Indian Border Security Forces (IBSF) here on Tuesday.
He said the meeting discussed issued pertaining to exchange of prisoners, stoppage of smuggling, and curtailing the incidents of firing from two sides of border.
Two sides also agreed upon elimination of rocket firing incidents, he maintained adding, we will get released soon the Pakistani prisoners, imprisoned in India, through exchange of prisoners, meanwhile, India raised its reservations before PR in the meeting, sources added.
Moreover, security personnel from both sides also exchanged gifts to each other on the occasion, sources mainatained.
