There was no option except taking aid: Kaira

 Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Qamar Zaman Kaira Wednesday said the there was no option except taking aid from US, Aaj News reported.He further said assistance under Kerry-Lugar Bill (KLB) was not a charity but an acknowledgement of losses that Pakistan has suffered in the war on terror.The US government has approved the Bill with the sole objective to help Pakistan which has sacrificed a lot in term of life and property during last eight years while fighting against extremism and terrorism, he said while answering a question during a Federal Cabinet briefing. Prime Minister, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani chaired the meeting.He said the US executive has attached the explanatory notes with the Bill in the form of draft so all its other interpretations are incorrect.The Minister said the explanatory notes with the Kerry-Lugar Bill are not against the interests of Pakistan rather they are in our favour.
